Get 15% Off: Use Code AUGUSTDEAL15 How does HIFU work? HIFU delivers focused ultrasound energy into the deeper layers of the skin and underlying tissue. This energy creates precise thermal points, which trigger the body’s natural healing response. As a result, new collagen and elastin are produced, leading to gradual lifting, tightening, and improved skin structure. What does HIFU treat? HIFU is highly effective for sagging skin on the face, neck, and jawline. Jowls and loss of jawline definition, fine lines and wrinkles, drooping brows or eyelids, loose skin on the body (e.g. abdomen, thighs, arms) and post-weight loss skin laxity. It is often chosen by patients who want visible tightening without needles, surgery, or downtime. What is the downtime? HIFU is a no-downtime treatment. The skin may appear slightly pink or feel tender for a few hours, but you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients notice a mild tingling sensation for a short period after treatment, which is a sign of the collagen-remodelling process. How many sessions will I need? Most patients achieve visible results with one treatment, though the degree of tightening depends on the area being treated and individual skin condition. Results continue to improve over 2–3 months as collagen builds. For some, a second session may be recommended. Maintenance treatments are usually advised every 12–18 months. Am I suitable for HIFU? HIFU is most effective for men and women experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity who want noticeable lifting without surgery. It is particularly suited to those who are not ready for, or do not wish to consider, surgical procedures. At your consultation in our West Bridgford clinic, we will assess your skin and discuss whether HIFU is the best approach for your needs, or whether alternative treatments may be more suitable.

Our Practitioners

Emma Gould is our Clinical Director and primary nurse-aesthetician who will be performing your RF needling treatment at our clinic in West Bridgford. Over the last 20 years, Emma has helped women and men achieve their rejuvenation goals, including celebrities like Alison Hammond from ITV's This Morning and other high-profile individuals who prefer to remain anonymous. Most of our clients actually come from trusted referrals. However, we always look forward to welcoming new clients into our clinic. Book now to discover what RF can do for your skin.

Not all RF machines give the same results. And unlike beauticians or aestheticians, our medical-grade machines can penetrate deeper and, crucially, more safely, into the skin.

2. What makes RF special

What Makes RF Microneedling Special?

Radiofrequency stimulation has been used safely and successfully for decades to tighten skin, while microneedling stimulates the body’s natural healing process. By combining these techniques, RF needling delivers exceptional rejuvenation results as pictured. Heat energy from the device remodels collagen and elastin, while controlled micro-injuries encourage new growth. The result is smoother, tighter, more even skin.

At Rosem Health in West Bridgford, our clinic is one of the only providers in Nottingham offering this advanced device, ensuring precise treatment and visible improvements. Our highly experienced nurse-aestheticians are able to safely target deeper layers of skin which most aestheticians cannot.

4.Exact RF

Exact RF

Exact RF is basically a specialised handpiece that allows precise treatment of delicate areas such as around the eyes, mouth, and jawline. This makes it particularly effective for tightening the thin skin around the eyes, where signs of ageing often first appear.

Exact RF:

  • Tightens loose skin

  • Smooths fine lines and wrinkles

  • Restores volume to thinning skin

  • Refreshes tired-looking areas

  • Reduces undereye bags and fat pads

  • Eliminates festoons (malar bags) with surgery-like results

Deep RF

Deep RF Microneedling is non-surgical body contouring treatment that reduces unwanted fat deposits and tightens skin. By combining microneedling with radiofrequency energy, it creates significant improvements in body shape and skin tone with very minimal downtime.

RF Needling: Surgical-Like Results

Alongside its rejuvenating benefits, RF Microneedling is one of the most effective treatments for acne scars across all skin types. It is one of our favourite treatments at our West Bridgford, Nottingham clinic, frequently used alongside complementary options such as LED therapy and skin boosters.

8. What to expect

What to Expect During RF Microneedling

Treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes. Numbing cream is applied first for comfort. During the procedure, sterile needles create micro-channels in the dermis while delivering radiofrequency energy. This process stimulates collagen production, remodels skin tissue, and tightens the treated area.

Afterwards, a post-treatment electrocurrent mask may be applied to calm the skin and support healing. Most patients experience only mild redness, with little to no downtime, and are able to resume daily activities immediately.

9. Recovery and aftercare

Recovery and Aftercare

  • Keep skin free of products for 24 hours (no makeup or skincare unless advised)

  • Avoid sweating, exercise, and heat exposure for 24 hours

  • Apply daily SPF to protect the skin for at least two weeks

  • Avoid treatments or products that may irritate the skin during recovery

10. Results

When Will I See Results?

Your collagen takes several weeks to regenerate, so improvements build gradually. You will notice your skin becoming smoother and firmer over the following weeks and months, with results continuing to develop long after treatment.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?
