It’s Peel Season: Why Autumn & Winter Are Ideal for Chemical Peels

Our practitioners have over 25 years of experience in chemical peel skin rejuvenation, and autumn and winter are often called “peel season” for good reason. Cooler weather, less sun exposure, and a natural shift in skincare routines make this the perfect time to refresh your complexion with a chemical peel. Are you ready to find out if you're a good candidate to transform your skin this October? Then keep reading..
Here’s why now is the moment to consider a peel, and how our Glo Clinically Approved Chemical Peels can help you reveal a healthier, brighter skin texture.

Why Peel Season? The Benefits & Timing
1. Less UV stress = safer recovery
Strong sun exposure is the enemy of post-peel healing. During the brighter months, you're more likely to aggravate peeling skin, cause hyperpigmentation, or slow recovery. In autumn/winter, with milder UV intensity and more indoor time, your skin can heal more securely.
2. Time to rebuild before spring
A peel course now gives your skin months to regenerate. By spring and summer, your skin will already have improved texture, more luminosity, and fewer visible imperfections — so you step into sunnier months with confidence, not regret.
3. Syncs with your skincare reset
Winter is a natural time to reassess your skincare regime: richer creams, hydration, barrier repair. A well-timed peel can slough off the dull surface and allow your actives (retinols, antioxidants, etc.) to work more effectively post-treatment.
4. Less sweating, less irritation
Hot weather, heavy sweating, and outdoor activity increase the risk of irritation during recovery. Cooler seasons reduce those risks, making aftercare more manageable.

Introducing Glo Chemical Peels at Rosem Health
At Rosem, we’re proud to offer GloSkin Chemical Peels Levels 3 to 5, designed to safely resurface and revitalise your skin.

These peels clinically address a variety of concerns:
Fine lines, wrinkles, and early signs of ageing
Acne, congestion, and blemishes
Uneven tone, pigmentation, or sun damage
Dry, dull skin and lacklustre texture
Rough or irregular skin texture
Our Peel Levels Explained
Level | Name / Primary Actives | Ideal For | Downtime* | Frequency |
Level 3 | Glo Flower Enzyme Peel (fruit enzymes & botanical extracts) | First-time peel clients, sensitive skin | Minimal to none | Weekly |
Level 4 | Glo Hydra Bright AHA Peel (20% Lactic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid) | Dry, dull, mature skin | 0–5 days | Every 2 weeks |
Level 4 | Glo Beta Clarity AHA Peel (Mandelic + Salicylic + Vit C) | Oily, acne-prone, congested skin | 0–5 days | Every 2 weeks |
Level 5 | Glo GlyPro AHA Resurfacing Peel (Glycolic + superfruit repair complex) | Pigmentation, deeper lines, rough texture | 0–5 days | Every 2 weeks |
*Downtime refers to recovery period (peeling, redness) — this varies depending on skin, peel strength, and aftercare.
After one session, many clients already notice brighter, smoother skin. However, for best results we typically recommend a course of 4–6 treatments.
What to Expect in Your Peel Journey

Avoid active actives (e.g. retinoids, exfoliants) until your skin has recovered
Keep the skin hydrated and protected
Daily SPF is mandatory, especially in the weeks following your peel
Your practitioner will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions

Start with milder peels if you’ve never had one — allow your skin to acclimatise
Stick to your aftercare — gentle skincare, hydration, no picks or harsh rubbing
Use SPF daily — even in winter, UV rays are present
Pair with complementary treatments — LED therapy, hydrating facials, skin boosters
Space your treatments appropriately — allow full healing before next session
Communicate with your practitioner — if irritation or complications arise, always reach out
